Batista handed new Fulham contract

Fulham boss Lawrie Sanchez has handed Portuguese goalkeeper Ricardo Batista a new contract to 2009.

Batista joined Fulham in 2004 from Portuguese side Vitoria FC Setubal and made his First Team debut against Lincoln City in the Carling Cup. Batista was loaned out to Wycombe Wanderers last season and reached the Semi-Final of the Carling Cup before being knocked out by Chelsea.
