Bastia are close to signing Arsenal defender Sebastien Squillaci.

Squillaci has struggled in his two years at the Gunners.

Bastia, who won Ligue 2 this season to return to France's top-flight, have now come forward and a one-year contract for Squillaci - with the option of a second year - is on the table.
