Bassong urges Spurs not to price him out of Monaco move

Tottenham defender Sebastien Bassong has welcomed interest from AS Monaco.

The Guardian says Bassong hopes that the Tottenham chairman, Daniel Levy, does not price him out of a move.

Newcastle United sold him for £8m in the summer of 2009 and Tottenham are keen to recoup their outlay. Bassong has two years left on his Tottenham contract.
