Bassong could go on loan to Wolves if Tottenham can get Blackburn's Nelsen

Tottenham defender Sebastien Bassong could be on his way to Wolves on loan if Spurs can bring in Blackburn Rovers' Ryan Nelsen.

Spurs boss Harry Redknapp told Sky Sports that the Cameroonian centre-back is a chance of heading to the Molineux for the rest of the season.

"There's a few things going on at the moment. Bassong could go to Wolves on loan if we get another player in but I don't want to name him until it's done,” Redknapp said.

It has since come out that the player Redknapp was talking about is indeed the New Zealand captain Nelsen.
