Basham, Obadeyi progressing quickly at Bolton

Bolton Wanderers management are delighted with the progress of young pair Chris Basham and Temitope Obadeyi.

Defender Basham and striker Obadeyi are both pushing for action with manager Gary Megson's first team and reserves coach Alan Cork said: "Chris Basham and Tope Obadeyi have been part of the first-team squad, who are doing well, so it's working nicely for everyone. The younger players see them getting a chance and that gives them a boost."

Obadeyi joined Bolton as a 16-year-old in September 2006 after Wanderers paid Coventry City a fee of around £100,000 for his services. Basham was snapped up after being released by Newcastle United as a trainee.
