Bolton's Chris Basham is hoping for a contract extension with the club.
After displaying promising performances in recent times, including scoring a goal against Chelsea in the 4-3 loss on the weekend after coming on as a substitute in the second half, Basham believes he deserves more time as a Trotter.
"I don't want to get involved in contracts but hopefully what I have done since breaking into the team this season will get me the extra year," Basham said.
"I'm enjoying my football at Bolton. I have surprised myself. My aim this year was to play a few games in the cup if I could, but to have seven Premier League games under my belt now I can hardly believe it."
