Chris Basham is delighted after winning a new contract at Bolton Wanderers.
Less than a year after making his debut against home-town club Sunderland, the industrious 21-year-old has continued his impressive rise, earning a new deal to keep him at the Reebok until 2012.
"I hope this is just the beginning of a long career with the club," he said. "It will take me up to 24 years old and hopefully I can mature even more as a footballer in that time.
"I'm thankful to the manager for giving me the chance and I have enjoyed every minute with the coaching staff and my team-mates.
"My main aim is to go on and achieve bigger and better things with the football club. I want to try and establish myself in the team and build on the start I have made."
