Newcastle United midfielder Joey Barton has ruled out moving abroad.
Barton has been linked with Hamburg and Bayern Munich.
But the Sunday Mirror says Barton insisted if he goes anywhere it will be to another Premier League club.
He wrote on Twitter: "Contract negotiations not re-opened. Back to NUFC on Tuesday. Happy days.
"Why would I drop down a league when I can more than hold my own in the Premiership?
"What benefit would it give me? None - I play this game to play against the best week in, week out."
