Marseille midfielder Joey Barton feels former club Newcastle United will beat the drop.

Barton is on-loan at l'OM from QPR.

He told talkSPORT: "The biggest problem is now they think it's going to be OK. I think they're going to have a big wake up call.

"I think they will survive I think they've got enough ability to get out of it. They're in a relegation battle. It's a huge problem, a lot of the players aren't used to being in that environment."
