Barcelona president Josep Maria Bartomeu insists Lionel Messi is happy at the Nou Camp.
Messi trained on Wednesday morning with the rest of his team-mates ahead of Thursday's Copa del Rey match against Elche amid speculation he could consider his future away from Barcelona.
"Does Messi dominate the team? He is the best player in the world," Bartomeu said in the press conference. "But he also has several stars alongside him.
"It's incredible the team that Barca has.
"But Messi is not the life of the club, he is a crucial part of it, that's for sure."
Bartomeu denied the four-time FIFA world player of the year is unhappy at the club.
"Is Messi happy? There are things that don't need to be explained," he said. "This year's Leo has nothing to do with that of last season.
"In this season he has ambition, he has a lot of hunger and that is good news for Barca fans that Leo is as he is right now."
