Everton midfielder Gareth Barry has urged Ross Barkley to stay where he is.

Manchester City are watching Barkley, 21, who has endured a lot of flak for Everton's dismal season - and so might be tempted by a fresh challenge.

"Personally, I think he's still too young to make that move," Barry said.

"He's got the right manager here to push him to the next level. As soon as he reaches that next level, then there's another decision to be made. At the moment, I think it's too early."
