Paul Barron says Newcastle United's goalkeepers pool is a strong as ever.

The keeper coach told the Evening Chronicle: "I am delighted with our three main keepers Shay, Harps and Tim Krul - and Fraser Forster will benefit for being out on loan to Stockport County.

"These are not the best of times at Newcastle United, but we are keeping our heads down and getting on with our jobs, and this is the best way to turn things round."
