Barnsley have completed the permanent signing of Garry O'Connor from Birmingham on an initial contract until the end of the season.
O'Connor, 27, first arrived at Oakwell on loan in September and returned for a second spell in November.
The Scotland international has made eight appearances for the Tykes and has scored three goals.
The former Hibernian striker earned a move to Lokomotiv Moscow in 2006 before Birmingham paid £2.7million to bring him to St Andrews in June 2007.
