Clubs are battling for Newcastle United striker Nile Ranger.
The Daily Star says Ranger, 21, is in the middle of a tug-of-war between Barnsley and Championship new-boys Sheffield Wednesday.
The striker is available from Toon after failing to impress manager Alan Pardew.
