Barnsley set to swoop for Hull midfielder Doyle

Skysports.com reports Barnsley are hoping to sign Hull City midfielder Nathan Doyle on a permanent basis next month. Doyle's loan spell at Oakwell is due to expire after this weekend's game at Crystal Palace, but Tykes boss Mark Robins is keen to keep the versatile performer.

Barnsley are in talks with the Tigers in a bid to thrash out a deal to sign the 22 year old permanently when the transfer window reopens next month.

The KC Stadium outfit are believed to be ready to offload Doyle as they look to trim their squad and wage bill.
