Barnsley keen on Hull fullback Doyle

Barnsley hope to re-sign Hull City defender Nathan Doyle.

Doyle, who joined the Tykes on loan in September but returned to the KC Stadium shortly before Christmas, has agreed a two-and-a-half year contract.

Barnsley manager Mark Robins told his club's official website: "Nathan did very well for us during his loan spell and we are delighted to have completed a permanent deal to bring him back to the club.

"This is a deal we have been working on for a while and I am delighted it has come to fruition.

"I am looking forward to working with Nathan and having him back as part of our squad."
