Everton are prepared to sell John Stones to Chelsea this week.
The Daily Star Sunday says the move from Everton to Chelsea is being held up by a sell-on agreement – with League OneBarnsley.
When the England defender signed for Everton two years ago in a £3 million deal, the Goodison club agreed to give Barnsley 15 per-cent of any subsequent transfer fee.
That's why Everton have rejected Chelsea's two opening offers of £20 million and £25 million.
The bidding may have to reach £30 million to clinch a deal - a figure which would see Barnsley pocket a £4.5 million windfall.
