Barnsley boss Simon Davey has played down reports linking him with Sunderland striker David Connolly and Hull City veteran Dean Windass.

"We are always looking and searching for players," he told the Yorkshire Post.

"I have not heard the rumours about Dean Windass and David Connolly, but it is just paper talk.

"I have not spoken with any clubs or any players."
