Barnsley are waiting for Chelsea's deal for Everton defender John Stones to go through.
The Daily Express says the 21-year-old is expected to make a £40million move to Chelsea, with Manchester United also reportedly interested.
And should the deal go ahead, the League One side will pocket £6m thanks to a 15 per cent sell-on clause in his contract.
The centre-back left the Yorkshire club for just £3m two years ago, and his pedigree has since rocketed after moving to the Premier League.
The Toffees have already turned down three bids for the England international from the Blues, believed to be around the £30m mark.
