Barnsley boss Mark Robins will step up his bid for Stoke City defender Ryan Shotton today.
The Sun says Robins has signed Manchester City full-back Kieran Trippier, 19, on loan and aims to do the same with Stoke's Shotton.
Barnsley lost their league opener to QPR on Saturday.
