Barnet player-boss Edgar Davids has announced his retirement, it has been reported.
Davids has reportedly told journalists he is retiring from playing after being repeatedly targeted by referees, says the Daily Star.
His dismissal against Salisbury City came as his third red card in nine appearances for Barnet this season.
His team went down 2-1 away in Wiltshere as Carl Fletcher was also sent off for the Bees.
Davids started his career at Ajax, before moving to AC Milan, Juventus, Barcelona, Inter Milan, Tottenham, Ajax, Crystal Palace and finally Barnet.
