Former Barnet striker Giuliano Grazioli has been named the club's caretaker manager in the wake of Martin Allen's shock departure for Notts County. Allen telephoned Bees chairman Tony Kleanthous on Sunday night and held talks into the early hours, but he could not be talked round and broke the news to the players on Monday morning.
Barnet had taken seven points from nine since Allen took over last month, but he claimed he was leaving for "an opportunity he could not resist".
