Barnes proves Burnley matchwinner - again

Ashley Barnes was at it again for Burnley yesterday.

Barnes scored the winning goal for the second time in four days as a strong Burnley Development Squad beat Sheffield Wednesday 1-0, says the Lancashire Evening Telegraph.

The Clarets played a behind-closed-doors friendly at Wednesday's Middlewood Road training ground, fielding seven first team regulars.

Northern Ireland Under 19 international Conor Mitchell kept a clean sheet, while Ben Mee featured at centre-back and Steven Reid captained the side from right-back, with Danny Lafferty and Kevin Long also featuring in the back four.
