John Barnes believes that Liverpool will be fine despite not freshening up their squad in January with new signings.
Liverpool surprisingly did not sign anyone during the January transfer window and the Reds' relatively small squad seems to be feeling the effects of tiredness at the moment, as evidenced by their poor run of result since the turn of the year.
Club legend Barnes has admitted that he was left disappointed at Liverpool not bringing new faces to Anfield this winter but insisted that Jurgen Klpp's men will be able to recover from their slump by keeping a positive attitude.
Barnes told the London Evening Standard: "Unfortunately we didn't get anyone in January.
"Signings would have helped but it's not all doom and gloom. We haven't got a huge squad so with a 14-15 man squad they will be tired.
"Arsenal, Chelsea and Manchester City all have bigger squads. City can take out [Sergio] Aguero and bring in [Gabriel] Jesus."
