Barmby: Hull players were prepared for results drop

Nicky Barmby is confident Hull City can bounce back after failing to win in the last six games.

"I don't think everyone is down in the dumps or all doom and gloom," Barmby told the Hull Daily Mail.

"We're a promoted side and we knew that we would go through a sticky patch, it's just about how we handle it now and how we respond in the next game.

"We sat down in the summer and thought this might happen at some stage.

"Everyone goes through a bad time of it but you can go two ways. You can start feeling sorry for yourself or you can roll up your sleeves and say 'Yeah, this is the Premier League and this is where we want to be.'

"We'll move on to the next game and give Arsenal a good game next week."
