Everton youngster Ross Barkley has revealed he sees himself as a striker, and believes he would benefit from playing a more advanced position, reports BBC Sport. "I feel I can have my greatest impact there because I'm free to roam around the pitch, take players on, have shots and create chances," he told Premier League World.

He also admitted that he has failed to live up to expectations this season, saying: "From my point of view I haven't done as well as I know I can, but you have to go through bad days to get to the great days you have in your career."
