Bari boss Giampaolo Ventura has complained about Italy's lunchtime kickoffs after their 0-0 draw with Cagliari.
Ventura complains his team cannot be expected to play at a high tempo in the blazing lunchtime heat.
"You cannot play at this time at the end of summer," slammed Ventura after the 12.30pm local time kick-off. "I understand the pay-per-view television companies have their reasons, but it exhausts the players.
"Today in Bari it was 35 degrees Celsius. You cannot play at this time and it's not healthy for the crowd to sit under the sun in the stands either.
"It was impossible of us to demand a high tempo, but even then we were only missing the goal today. We barely allowed Cagliari a single shot on target, so I can only compliment my lads."
