Bari coach Beppe Iachini blamed their lack of goal scoring nous for their relegation.
Defeat to Catania yesterday sent Bari back down to Serie B.
"We spent months trying to catch up," said the Coach. "We always tried to play in a certain way and the team deserved more than the points they ended up with.
"At certain times were weren't as efficient in attack as I'd have liked and we tended to drop points by not killing off games. We paid the price for failing to take our chances.
"Once again today, we should've moved the ball around quicker, but Catania took the lead with their first set play.
"Truth be told, we lost more important points in other matches. This was just the final straw."
