Bari sporting director Giorgio Perinetti insists defender Leonardo Bonucci will be staying.
Bonucci, along with fellow centre-back Andrea Ranocchia, has had a stunning campaign to date with the revelatory southern minnows.
"The player will not be leaving and will remain for the season," Perinetti noted. "In June we'll discuss his ownership with Genoa."
Bonucci's agent, Davide Torchia, mirrored that view when he was asked for an update on his client's situation.
"Bari and Genoa own him and it is clear that they will need to have a chat about things, but that will only be at the end of the campaign," he noted.
"But for now Bonucci just wants to concentrate on helping Bari survive. He's very happy with what he is doing at the moment."
