Bari sports chief Giorgio Perinetti is happy to receive the plaudits over their promising return to Serie A this season.
The promoted club currently lie ninth in the table and have the best defensive record in the top flight after the opening 12 games of the season.
Perinetti told Gazzetta dello Sport: "On the market the owner has spent £10m and bears a wage bill of £13m after tax.
"We have agreed upon the choice of the trainer, focusing on Ventura, who I have known for more than 20 years.
"Fortunately I have tied him down for next year as well. In his contract there is an option for an automatic extension in case of survival."
Perinetti also admits English Premiership clubs are chasing their best young players.
"I would usually always privilege the solution 'sell, earn and then repent'. But this year I have the backing of the President to invest in a prospective project. Apart from Genoa who would like to re-sign Ranocchia and Bonucci, there are English clubs after them, and they say that Juve would also like our three defenders.
"Andrea Masiello, Ranocchia and Bonucci would all be protagonists in the Premier League."
