Phil Bardsley is set to learn of his future at Sunderland today.
Bardsley was publicly blasted by manager Paolo di Canio for photographs of him in a casino surrounded by money at the end of last season.
The Journal says the Black Cats are yet to officially inform him or his representatives that the former Manchester United man needs to find a new club. Despite reports linking him with Hull City, there has been no contact from any club and Bardsley - ideally - would like to stay on and fight for his Sunderland future.
Whether that is possible or not is another matter, and if the Wearsiders indicate he has no future on Monday he will move on.
