Phil Bardsley accepts his Sunderland career is over.

The former Manchester United man knows he has no future on Wearside, and has admitted he will have to leave.

"I think it's quite clear to everyone that I am not part of the plans at the club, so I'm just waiting and hopefully something will pop up in the near future," said the 28-year-old.

"There has been interest from other clubs, so hopefully something is just around the corner."
