Barceona defender Gerard Pique has taken a swipe at Real Madrid fans after a difficult week.

Pique's Barca are still recovering after their Champions League elimination at the hands of Juventus.

But he had a word for Real fans last night, posting to social media:

"For some it rankles to see Camp Nou applause despite going out of Europe. They are used to hearing whistles despite reaching the semifinals."

He also posted: "Thanks, fans. I have never seen Camp Nou react like that after being knocked out. Pride and emotion."
