Xavi has dismissed criticism of Barcelona teammate Lionel Messi. Asked about Diego Maradona's comments that Messi is too selfish, Xavi insisted: "Dribbling, Leo is the best in the world. It's normal to be selfish in attacking roles.

"He has to be individualistic and for us it is a luxury to have him here."

Asked about Bojan Krkic's lack of action this season, Xavi added: "The coach has already stated everyone will get their chance this season. Bojan is happy and training well. He will get his chance."
