Xavi was outstanding for Barcelona in their 4-1 victory at Malaga.

The midfielder produced a wonderful scoring performance and said: "I cannot remember scoring two goals in a game since I played with the cadets, but everything is a consequence of the space created by the strikers ahead of me.

"I'm happy for the result. The team has been able to adapt at all times. The victory was important despite the adverse conditions.

"A key of the game was to play more direct football and also stop showing respect for our opponents."
