Barcelona defender Lilian Thuram wants to play on beyond his current contract at the Nou Camp - and even has eyes on representing France in the 2010 World Cup.

Thuram, 35, said: "I have a precise goal - to play for as long as possible. I want to also take part in the next World Cup, if I am physically intact and still have the motivation.

"My contract with Barcelona expires in 2010. I don't think it will be renewed. I'd like to return to play in France."
