Ronaldinho almost missed Barcelona's flight to Glasgow yesterday ahead of tonight's match at Celtic.

AS says coach Frank Rijkaard read out the roll call, "Eto'o? Present. Henry and Gudjohnsen, Iniesta and Xavi ... all here. Ronaldinho? ...."

And there was silence.

The Brazilian failed to make the deadline for the squad to gather at the airport.

The official line is that Ronaldinho was late because of traffic problems. However, it's been suggested he overslept as both his neighbours, Lionel Messi and Eidur Gudjohnsen, were able to get to the airport on time.

Ronaldinho eventually made it for Barca's flight courtesy of a quick thinking cabbie.
