Barcelona's Messi full of praise for Sporting fans after thrashing
Barcelona's two-goal Lionel Messi had special praise for Sporting Gijon's fans at the end of last night's rout.
"We came to win like in the Champions League and fortunately we were able to repeat it," said Messi. "I think the goals were always going to come because we are playing well.
"We know what is in the dressing room, we have a great group and we believe in our chances.
"The Gijon fans were impressive, we went 1-6 ahead and they continued to encourage and support their team. They're an example to the crowds for all the teams."
