Atletico Madrid are moving for Barcelona defender Rafael Marquez.

Atletico coach Javier Aguirre wants his fellow Mexican to prop up his defence and negotiations are already at an advanced stage.

Marquez is behind Gaby Milito and Yaya Toure at Barca and is open to a move to the Vicente Calderon. Marquez's Barca teammate, Thiago Motta, is also interesting Atletico as they prepare to sell Peter Luccin this week.
