Barcelona striker Thierry Henry believes Liverpool are capable of winning the Premiership this season.

"Of course Liverpool can win the league," the former Arsenal captain told liverpoolfc.tv. "They have the quality to do it, just like Manchester United, Arsenal and Chelsea.

"I always follow the Premier League. It's easy because we play at night and you play in the afternoon. If you ask me if Liverpool can do it then I say, why not?

"It will be difficult but if you look at what's happened so far, then you see that Liverpool have won the games they never used to win. They hadn't beaten Manchester United for a very long time, and they've also won at the Bridge.

"Those are the kind of games that give you the confidence that you can win the league.

"The thing that has let Liverpool down in the last few years - and the reason they haven't won the league - is that they weren't beating the top four teams. Now they are."
