After scoring a penalty in last night's victory over Sporting Lisbon, Barcelona ace Samuel Eto'o declared he was the fittest he has been in his career.

"Physically I'm like when I was 18 years old and playing for Real Mallorca. I am perfect, I can take tackles without fear, pressure, my lungs tell me that I can give more and I try to give more," smiled Eto'o.

Asked about the disappointing attendance for last night's Champions League clash, Eto'o insisted: "They'll soon come back.

"I think the fans are beginning to warm to us. We will keep improving and change the atmosphere."
