Barcelona fullback Daniel Alves knows he could easily have been wearing a Chelsea shirt for their looming Champions League semifinal.

Two years ago, Alves should have joined Chelsea, only for Sevilla president Jose Maria del Nido to price the Brazilian out of a move.

The Barca star said: "I was about to leave for Chelsea, but fortunately it was not to be and I was able to join a machine that suits me perfectly."
