Denis Suarez believes Quique Sanchez Flores will prove to be a strong acquisition for football in England.
The 21-year-old Barcelona attacking midfielder, currently on loan at Sevilla, spoke to local media last week after his side took on the Hornets in a friendly at Vicarage Road.
Suarez, who spent two years with Manchester City before his return to Barca in 2013, suggests his fellow Spaniard is capable of making a splash in the Premier League as Flores prepares the Hertfordshire club for the return to top flight football.
"For English football it will be very good to have somebody like Quique Sanchez Flores here and in the Premier League," he said.
"In Spain he is known as a good coach. It is good for the Premier League that they have a Spanish coach and I hope Watford stay in the Premier League."
The Hornets begin the 2015/16 campaign with a trip to Goodison Park to take on Everton on Saturday.
