Barcelona are back in the battle for Udinese winger Alexis Sanchez.
Last week Udinese announced they had turned down a 40m bid, letting City into the race with a raised proposal of 45m.
However, Sanchez has made it clear he would prefer the Nou Camp, so the ball is in their court to improve the figures.
Sport says vice-president Josep Maria Bartolomeu and director of sport Andoni Zubizzareta have given the all-clear to raise their offer to 50m.
