Barcelona will test Arsenal's resolve with a £15 million bid for Alex Song.

The Sunday Mirror says Barcelona will make a surprise £15million bid to try to sign Song from Arsenal and reunite the midfielder with Cesc Fabregas at the Nou Camp.

Just 12 months after wrestling Fabregas from the Emirates, Barca are now prepared for another battle with the Gunners over Song.

Having lost Seydou Keita this summer, Barca want a new utility man who can play as a defensive midfielder or a central defender and see Song as the perfect man.

But Song's Arsenal contract does not expire until 2015 and manager Arsene Wenger wants to keep him at the Emirates.
