Barcelona are determined to push through a deal for Roma defender Cristian Chivu - and are also keen on his teammate, Daniele De Rossi, says Italian super agent Enzo Bronzetti.

"It is not a tactic to raise his price tag. If people like director of sport Txiki Begiristain travel overseas, it means there is a real interest in Chivu," he told Radio Radio. "Roma and Barcelona discussed offers and players, such as Silvinho, Manuel Belletti and Ludovic Giuly. If the Giallorossi are not interested in these proposals, then Barca will only offer cash.

"Begiristain confessed he would love to bring De Rossi to the Nou Camp, but he will be a symbol for Roma and follow in the footsteps of Francesco Totti."
