Barcelona are interested in American junior Shaquell Moore.
The USA U20 international is a fullback, who can also play in midfield, and is tied to MLS outfit FC Dallas.
Super Deportes says Barca and Valencia are both keen for Moore to continue his career in Spain next season.
Valencia hope to step in and snap up Moore in the coming weeks as Barca dither over offering terms.
