Ona FM reported last night that an agreement between the clubs had been struck and Alves would officially sign a four-year deal with Barca early next week.

Sevilla are set to rake in over £28 million for the Brazilian, who will move to the Nou Camp for an initial £24 million, with another £4 million due based on appearances and success.

With fellow defenders Gerard Pique and Martin Caceres signed from Manchester United and Villarreal respectively, plus former Sevilla midfielder Seydou Keita also arriving, Pep Guardiola's Barca have spent over £40 million on new players since the end of the season.
