Barcelona Twitter account hacked after Man City win

Barcelona's Twitter account was hacked after their Champions League win at Manchester City.

The Mirror reports the Spanish champions had just beaten Manchester City in their hotly-anticipated Champions League clash when messages appeared on three of the club's different social media accounts reading: "Dear FC Barcelona management, don't let the Qatari money funds you, it's full of blood and kill [sic]."

The messages remained on the Catalan, English and Castilian Spanish Twitter feeds of the club for some twenty minutes before being finally removed, but not until the hackers had a final say by involving Barca's archrivals Real Madrid, tweeting: "Special hi to Real Madrid," before linking to the page of the Syrian Electronic Army.
