Barcelona turn to Arsenal star Arshavin

Barcelona are eyeing Arsenal star Andrey Arshavin.

Encouraged by Arshavin's comments last week that he dreams of playing for Barca, the European champs are now considering a bid for the Russia international.

El Mundo Deportivo says Barca are turning to Arshavin after learning that Bayern Munich ace Franck Ribery only will consider a move to Real Madrid.

According to the Spanish press Barca have around £25 million to spend in the transfer window. For that do you expect them to buy Cesc Fabregas, Mascherano and Arshavin? I don't think that money would buy any single one of those players. But last weekend Guardiola gave an interview to a Catalan newspaper saying that he intended to stay 3 years at Barca and then his "work would be done". When asked who he would like to manage after that he said "Arsenal". I was in Barcelona and am half Spanish so I was more than a little surprised that sites like this missed the whole thing. Not sensational enough perhaps?

Today's "stories" on "news" now (now that's a laugh) have reached a new level. If Barca wanted him they would have bid for him before he came to Arsenal but they would not pay the money "then" that it will also take "now" to buy him from us.

Barcelona have been humbled by the biggest club of Spain Real Madrid in the transfer market and can only dream of Arsenal players. If their only retort is to make up lies about Arsenal players who let's face it, have won nothing or achieved anything yet at Arsenal then it does not look good for them. You would have thought they would have learnt a lesson with Helb about buying any of our recent crop of failures, but no, they continue to have orgasms over any player in an Arsenal shirt. How sad for the insecure European Champions.

But Arshavin did not refute this, even now! I hate this Russian! We have problems and intrigues because he's russian pig!
